ACCOUNT MANAGER | |||||||

The Account Manager is a more advanced version of the Senior Conference Coordinator position. In addition to managing the beginning-to-end activities involved in program management, they are responsible for providing analysis of activity outcomes, forecasting and troubleshooting program direction, assisting with the development of program concepts/proposals, and maintaining client relationships. The Account Manager can be responsible for a group of projects related to one client or a group of projects that are similar in scope. This person is expected to exercise discretion and independent judgment pertaining to matters of significance relating to particular projects. Position reports to Director. | |||||||

Essential Job Functions: | |||||||
|

1. Plan medical meetings throughout 2. Develop and maintain relationships with clients independently. 3. Demonstrate a working understanding of all current regulatory issues, including FDA, OIG/PhRMA. 4. Prepare proposals with related budget materials; oversee invoicing and budget reconciliation. 5. Assist in completing proposals, obtaining copyright authorization, and assisting with regulatory requirements. 6. Maintain oversight of all activities and staff associated with his/her project. 7. Act as the key person in communicating with clients for his/her project. 8. Assist with editing PowerPoint presentations and other graphic design issues. 9. Perform all the functions of a meeting (local, regional, or national). 10. Supervise staff support assisting with meeting planning and follow-up. 11. Negotiate and coordinate all venue logistics.in conjunction with Project Assistant. 12. Coordinate the development, printing, and distribution of meeting brochures and ensure adherence to regulatory and policy guidelines. 13. Assist with development of handout and oversee support staff in the execution of all printing materials. 14. Ensure quality in all aspects of planning. 15. Work closely with Project Director on all program details with a level of independence. 16. Maintain neat and professional appearance of self and work station. 17. Serve as liaison with meeting faculty, which includes the securing of appropriate contracts, assisting with and reviewing presentation materials, scheduling of travel, and ensuring prompt payment of services. 18. Travel to programs to act as on-site logistics manager (this can include pre-meeting site visits). Travel may constitute up to 30% of job duties. 19. Formulate a timeline for each project and ensure all deadlines are met. 20. Develop marketing efforts and make sales presentations on behalf of company. 21. Serve as official representative of company on site, serving as team leader for all other staff involved. | ||||||

Essential Job Requirements: | |||||||
|
EDUCATION |
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications or related field preferred or commensurate event planning experience. | ||||||
|
|
| ||||||
|
EXPERIENCE |
Experience in event planning, particularly related to medical meetings, required. Experience in restaurant, hotel, or related industry desirable. | ||||||
|
|
| ||||||
|
REQUIRED SKILLS |
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer skill proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Additional skills in medical area, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as CMP designation desirable. | ||||||
|

|
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS |
Must be able to navigate airports and travel. Must be able to pull 20lb rolling bags and lift boxes up to 50lbs. | ||||||
